Option #1: U10 (Program Fee $255)
U10 players practice twice a week on weekday evenings. Following the Skills Centre Model, U10 teams will participate in the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) weekend soccer Festivals around the HRM. Festivals are fun, tournament style events where U10 teams play three 25 minute games against other Clubs.
Option #2: U9/U10 Community (Program Fee $165)
U10 Community is a great choice for players who are new to soccer, or players who want to develop their skills in a recreational environment, or those who have other commitments in the summer. Players practice twice a week on weekday evenings until games begin. Teams then have one practice and one game per week in a "House League" with teams from other local Clubs in Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage and Porters Lake.
Program Start / Finish
Both U10 and U10 Community players begin practicing indoors the first week of May with outdoor practices starting the first week of June. Games for U10 will begin at the end of May or early June. U10 Community games typically begin mid June. The season runs until August 21st.
The detailed practice schedule will not be finalized until a few weeks prior to the start of season. The schedule will depend on several factors; coach availability, number of teams and field allocation. The practice schedule will be posted on the Storm website and social media as soon as it is finalized.
The U10 game schedule will be developed by Soccer Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) once the number of teams have been determined. Games will be held on the weekends. Generally, games will be scheduled around consistent time blocks based on gender and age group. Teams may also participate in tournaments throughout the summer season if there is enough interest from the team.
The U10 Community games will be held weeknights on consistent days and times. The detailed schedule will be determined based on the number of teams.
